UK Parliamentary General Election

A UK Parliamentary General Election has been called for Thursday 4 July 2024.

The nomination period will commence on 5 June and close at 4pm on 7 June. If you need nomination papers please contact the elections team or download a nomination form from the Electoral Commission. 

The Chichester District is split into 2 Constituency areas, Chichester and Arundel and South Downs. You can check which constituency you are in on the Where do I vote (opens new window)  webpage. If you are registered to vote with Chichester District Council, you do not need to re-register with another authority even if you vote in the Arundel and South Downs Constituency.

Photographic ID will now need to be provided at the polling station in order to vote at elections. If you do not take an acceptable form of ID to the polling station, you will not be issued with a ballot paper. Visit voter ID for more information.
