Food safety advice

We now offer chargeable advice packages aimed at new and existing registered food business. These packages provide advice on:

If you would like to book a package, please complete the following form with payment.

For each package the fee is £260 for a maximum two hour visit by a Food Safety Officer. This fee is paid up front.

For any additional hours after this, there is a fee of £130. Any additional fees will be invoiced separately.

You will receive the following:

A two (2)-hour site visit of the proposed premises offering advice about structural requirements and proposed layout.
On-site written report summarising visit and recommendations.
Where relevant, issued with a copy of the most suitable Food Safety Management System (FSMS) e.g. Safer Food Better Business (SFBB) pack and a twelve (12)-month supply of diary sheets, along with explaining how it should be completed.
Signposting to other sources of information, agencies or departments of the Authority as appropriate.

You will receive the following:

A two hour site visit of the premises offering advice about structural requirements, hygiene procedures and how to achieve a food hygiene rating of 5.
A full review of your premises and food safety documentation i.e. SFBB.
The officer will discuss with you the legal requirements and advisory matters that require attention.
A detailed report listing all the requirements that need to be addressed to improve your rating to be able to achieve a 5.
