RADAR keys can be purchased from Chichester District Council, District Council Tourist Information Centres or from other outlets nationally.  Please contact our Customer Services Team on 01243 534734 for further information.

Changing Places

Standard accessible toilets do not meet the needs of all people with a disability. Changing Places toilets generally provide extra facilities, such as a height adjustable bench with a ceiling hoist to allow safe transfer from a wheel chair.

Currently the District Council provide a Changing Places toilet within the Northgate car park public convenience building, Chichester, PO19 1BL. These are unmanned and accessible with a RADAR key. To use the hoist you will need your own harness.

The opening hours are:

  • Summer (between 3rd week in May to end of 2nd week in Sept.) 07.00 - 19.30hrs
  • Winter (between 3rd week in Sept. and end of 2nd week in May) 07.00 - 18.00hrs

There are other fully accessible facilities within the district provided by other organisations.
