The following terms and conditions apply to the Bulky Household Waste Collection service and should be read before accepting the service:

  • All items must be made available for collection outside of the building but within the property boundary or communal area by 7.00am on the day of collection. Please note that we are unable to enter a property to remove items.

  • Cancellations or changes to your booking must be made at least two working days before the specified collection date. Refunds will not be applicable after this period.

  • Only the specified items will be collected.  A refund or recollection will not be made if fewer items are left out than specified; if the items have been removed by other persons prior to collection; or if the items have been left in a condition that prevents collection - for example they are wet/heavy. 

  • Items will not be collected if they are found to be in an unsafe condition for handling.

  • The Council accepts no liability for damage to private property.

  • If there is an unforeseen circumstance on behalf of the Council (e.g. vehicle breakdown) your collection may be delayed.  Collection will be made as soon as is reasonably practicable. 

  • This service is for the disposal of household waste and not business waste.
