Sport in the Community Holiday Camps

Sport in the Community Holiday Camps will be running throughout 2015. For details on courses being run in the February Half Term, the Easter Break, May Half Term, and the Summer Holidays please see below.

How to book or pay for a course

To book and pay online, please use our online form (a debit or credit card will be required). If you want to be kept informed of the latest holiday course news, you can join our group of friends on Facebook.

All courses are 10.00am-3.00pm. The Rugby and Football in the Community Camps, and the Chi Sport Camps are £7.50 per person per day or £5.00 for any tenants of our funding partners: A2 Dominion, Affinity Sutton, Home, HydeMartlet, Raglan.

Alternatively, to book a place for your child or children onto any course please download the relevant form found under Downloadable Documents and send this to the East Pallant House address with a cheque for payment in the post. Please make cheques payable to Chichester District Council. If you would like to pay with cash please again print the relevant form and bring these into the Reception at East Pallant House. To find the location of any of the courses please refer to the Sport in the Community Holiday Course locations web page.

Cancellations need to be made by 8.30am on the day of the course for a refund/deferment to be offered. Cancellations should be made via email or phone to the Sports team: sport@chichester.gov.uk or 01243 534857.

Rugby in the Community

For 6-15 year olds

Rugby in the Community Holiday Courses are open to new and experienced rugby players, both boys and girls. Through many different training drills, skills, and games the course will focus on all round player development and most importantly on having fun! All coaches are RFU (Rugby Football Union) qualified and have received DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks for child safety. The courses are delivered in partnership with Chichester RFC and Driving Force Rugby Coaching Ltd.

Football in the community

For 6-15 year olds

Run by professional football coaches from Albion in the Community, all aspects of the game are covered with emphasis on teamwork, technique and especially enjoyment! The sessions are designed for children of all footballing abilities. All coaches are FA qualified and have received DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks for child safety.

Chi Sport Multisports Camp

For 6-13 year olds

The Multisports Camps are Fundamental Sports Camps designed for both boys and girls. Try out a variety of different sports and learn fundamental skills in enjoyable, inclusive for all sessions led by qualified coaches. Sports may include: cricket, handball, rounders, volleyball, gymnastics, racquet sports, and athletics.

Chi Sport Adventure Sports Camp

For 6-13 year olds

The Adventure Sports Camps offer opportunities for participation in climbing, orienteering, and assault course activities. The University of Chichester facilities, in combination with the excellent coaching, provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment for these sessions. The February Half Term Adventure Sports Camp is now sold out.

Chi Sport Netball Camp

For 6-13 year olds

The Chi Sport Netball Camp is a Fundamental Sports Camp designed for both boys and girls. They provide an opportunity to learn fundamental skills in enjoyable, inclusive for all sessions led by qualified coaches.

Chi Sport Basketball Camp

For 6-13 year olds

The Chi Sport Basketball Camp is a Fundamental Sports Camp designed for both boys and girls. The sessions provide an opportunity to learn fundamental skills through a range of drills, mini-matches and practice.

Chi Sport Football Camp

For 6-13 year olds

The Chi Sport Football Camp is delivered by football coaches from the University of Chichester. We aim to provide top quality coaching in a safe and fun environment and provide all participants with the opportunity to learn new skills and techniques.

Saturday Morning Sports Clubs

Sessions are based at the University of Chichester Sports Dome and are for young people aged 6-15. Sessions take place on Saturday mornings, 10.00-12.00, and run according to the Term Times detailed  below. They are a great way for kids to get active, enjoy themselves and make new friends

£18 per club term (six sessions per term).

Chi Sport Netball Club

With top quality coaching, sessions will include progressive skills practices, small sided games, and fun netball activities

Chi Sport Basketball Club

The Club is open to players of all abilities and with sessions built around developing the fundamentals of the game: shooting, ball handling, dribbling, footwork, defence and team skills.
