Introduction

Welcome to the cycling pages of Chichester District Council's website.


Make sure you come to one of the events taking place during the Chichester Cycling Festival which takes place between Saturday 15 June and Sunday 23 June. There will be something for everyone including talks from famous cyclists, a bike jumble sale, pedal powered film screenings, a midsummer night mountain bike ride and a BMX demonstration from Team Extreme. Cycling as the sun sets

The Chichester Cycle Challenge is back for the fourth year running and takes place from 1 - 21 July 2013. For more details please see the Chichester Cycle Challenge website found under Offsite links.

For information about other cycling events taking place around the district please see our cycling events page. Our guided adult cycle rides continue - please register your interest by contacting the Cycling team. The guided adult cycle rides programme is aimed at people who want some gentle exercise or who are new or returning to cycling. See the events page for further information.

We have set up a programme of foundation level and intermediate bike maintenance courses. Further details are available on the cycling news page.

Details about other cycling opportunities in the district are available as follows:

  • Information on the Cycle to Work Scheme which may enable you to purchase a brand new bike at a reduced rate through your employer.
