The capacity and capability of local infrastructure continues to cause concern. The council is working with infrastructure providers to establish how and when infrastructure issues can be overcome. The Environment Agency sent the council a "Position Statement" (August 2010) that advises the council to "refuse residential development if it results in a significant increase in the net flow to the sewer network". In September 2011 we received an Addendum from the Environment Agency. This and the Position Statement can be viewed under Related documents to your right. On 12 June 2012 the Council's Cabinet agreed a revised timetable for preparation of the Local Plan which is set out below. Public consultation on Preferred Approach Local Plan (6 weeks) - March to May 2013. Formal 6 week Statutory Publication Pre-Submission Local Plan - October to November 2013. Submission March 2014 with estimated Adoption October 2014. |
