Chichester District Council supports the arts by:

Funding and grants

funding the Chichester Festival Theatre (with West Sussex County Council and Arts Council of England) to keep this regionally important theatre producing new and exciting work
supporting Pallant House Gallery with an annual grant and the use of Pallant House. In return, the gallery looks after the Council's collection of modern British art - the Hussey Collection
annually grant-aiding Chichester Festivities
offering discretionary grants schemes for local voluntary organisations - see Leisure Grants
being a member of the West Sussex Arts Partnership. This group represents the districts/boroughs of West Sussex, the County Council and the Arts Council of England: South east. Together we run large scale arts projects which have most recently catered for young people, people with learning disabilities and people and places in the rural parts of the district

giving information and advice on arts issues (including sources of funding) to individual artists, organisations and facilities. Contact us for information

considering ways to support the arts economy and artists, as an important part of local business and community activity. We have commissioned independent research to demonstrate the economic impact of the thriving arts scene in the district and are committed to supporting the growth of the creative industry as well as a healthy not-for-profit sector

studios4artists - A group of Chichester artists are working with Chichester District Council and the developers of the old Graylingwell Hospital site to develop a studio complex for artists and designers, a creative community that will offer facilities to studio members and the community of Chichester.
