Registered Providers Development Partners

We no longer have our own stock of council houses. These were transferred in 2001 to what is now HydeMartlet, a Registered Provider (RP - similar to a housing association). However, our aim is that affordable housing will be built in the district. To this end, we work closely with our RP development partners, private developers, parish councils and planners, providing a strategic overview and direction. 

HydeMartlet and Affinity are our principal development partners. Both have more than 200 affordable housing units in their development pipelines for the district.
