Whilst cataloguing and re-packing Museum objects, Collections Assistant Bernie Spiegelhalter was delighted to examine these rare Bronze Age tools.
Fossilised Bun (rock variety). Reputed to have been baked in the year 1824. Carried around by the owner who slept with it under her pillow. May 11th 1976.
In September we featured a Civil War era Cannon Ball that was donated to Chichester District Museum by a local resident.
Pictured is the Petworth Hoard. The Hoard is made up of 103 Roman coins found in Petworth and recently purchased by Chichester District Museum.
In Spring 2010 we featured a rare Fanti Doll, part of the original collection from the 19th Century Museum. This Object was also featured by the BBC on their History of the World website.
