Building regulations:

• set standards for the design and construction of buildings to ensure the safety and health of people in and about new buildings
• include requirements for facilities (including those for people with disabilities) as well as fuel and power conservation

Our Building Control Officers will examine and comment on plans for developments and carry out inspections of works in progress. Please contact your local area officer.
