Community safety strategy 2002 - 2005

The 1998 Crime and Disorder Act (amended by the Police Reform Act 2002) placed a requirement on a range of organisations to work in partnership to develop a three year crime reduction strategy.  The Act requires the partnership to:

• Carry out a detailed audit of crime and disorder every 3 years.

• Consult and involve agencies in identifying priorities for action.

• Develop a three year strategy that shows clear targets and methods for monitoring performance.
