New weight loss programme being launchedIntroductionA new Wellbeing Weight Loss Programme is being launched in the Chichester District in July. Chichester District Wellbeing will be running a 12-week programme to help people lose weight. "Losing weight can be difficult and so we've introduced these workshops to help people kick-start their healthy eating plans," says Cllr Eileen Lintill, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Wellbeing and Community Safety at Chichester District Council. "Our staff will offer you a free one-to-one consultation to discuss what you would like to achieve from the workshops and look at any health issues. The workshops will take a detailed look at eating habits, health and lifestyle. They will then introduce small and simple changes which have been designed to be a safe and healthy way for you to lose weight, and maintain a healthy lifestyle." The 12, weekly workshops will start on:
The free one-to-one consultations will be held the week before each of the above start dates. The workshops will cost £3.60 per session, or £1 for those who are eligible for financial support (proof of support must be brought to the initial consultation). The 30 minute one-to-one initial consultation is free. If you would like to find out more or book a place, please contact the Chichester Wellbeing Team. Date: 29 June 2012 Reference: 3133 |
