The next market, taking place on Friday 1 February, will be the second to take place solely in Chichester's East Street. This move will be trialled throughout February and March, and could possibly become a permanent move if feedback from shoppers and traders is positive.

"Chichester Farmers' Market is the perfect opportunity to shop local, whilst enjoying some of the best produce and goods in the district," says Councillor John Connor, Cabinet Member for the Environment at Chichester District Council.

"As well as your old favourites, from plants to pies to fresh fish, there are some exciting new traders joining the market this month, so make sure you don't miss out."

Chichester Farmers' Market operates on the first and third Friday of each month, and offers a tantalising selection of fresh, local produce, ranging from local fruit and vegetables to locally-bred meat and fine cheese, tasty cakes and pastries, plus fish, sausages and condiments.

Old and new shoppers will be excited to see a range of new stalls joining the market this month. Fresh lamb and sheepskin; guilt free, plant-based and gluten free treats; and high fibre, low fat fruit cakes are all new additions to the market's offering.
