Chichester City Council Boundary Review

The District Council is conducting a boundary review on the wards of Chichester City following a request from the City Council.

The review is to decide whether the City council boundaries should be the same as the District council boundaries from 2019.

Following a review of the District boundaries, the City wards will change to consist of 8 wards returning 20 Councillors.  The review will look at whether this should be amended to 5 wards and return 18 Councillors.

The interactive map shows the current ward boundaries and the proposed ward boundaries.

The timetable for the review will be as follows:

  • 1 December 2017: Stage 1 consultation
  • 12 January 2018: Stage 1 consultation closure
  • 31 January 2018: Assessment of consultation responses to be completed by this date.
  • 1 February 2018: Stage 2 consultation
  • 1 March 2018: Stage 2 consultation end date
